Our History.

1952

Our history started in 1952 with a factory in Kaunas called „Kauna buitinés chemijos dirbiniu gamykla". The factory specialized in the production of adhesives, toothpaste, varnish, hair care, candles, household cleaning products.

1994

In 1994 the factory underwent reorganization and was renamed to "Higeja". In a short time "Higeja" turned in a leading household cleaners' producer in Lithuania. The well-known brand „Kurmis" has become a generic term describing products for unclogging pipes.

1998

In 1998 with a strong focus on the cleaning solutions "Higeja" started production of professional cleaning products for meat, fish, poultry and dairy industries to clean and disinfect their production equipment.

2024

In 2024 the company reorganized once again and changed its name to HI-LABS. Local, modern and innovative company shifted focus towards a business-to-business (B2B) working model.
